A Focus on Fathers in June
We want to spend the month of June – leading up to Father’s Day on 18 June – looking at what makes a great father.
For that reason, we’ll be donating £1 to charity for every tweet we get about what makes a good dad. We want to hear from you.
Did your dad inspire you?
What did he teach you?
How was he a role model?
How did he show he loved you?
Did he teach you about gender equality?
We want to start a conversation about fathers – about how we can be better dads and men. We can learn a lot from each other’s experiences and ideas, so let yourself be challenged and inspired by the tweets you read.
Dad encouraged me to believe I could achieve all the things I dreamed of and was always there to cheer me on.
Dad always said that girls could do anything that boys could do and more, as he taught me to play cricket.
One time my dad drove 200 miles to Edinburgh to pick me up after I got a train in the wrong direction late at night.
